If you think things are messed up and you can fix it with your vote. And you think this because? We live in a democracy............. ? THEN..................... By voting for the wrong people. The Voters ARE responsible for messing it all up in the first place! So how can a voter fix it? Physician heal thyself............
Before you can fix something, you need to know what is broken. It is no use changing a flat tire on your car when someone already stole the engine out from underneath the hood.
The thing that is broken is: the "Voter", in the mirror. And the number 1 problem is: hypocrisy. *4
Are You a Political Hypocrite? *4
Find out by answering these three simple questions.
1. Are you a democrat?
2. Are you a republican?
3. Do you think Abraham Lincoln was right to fight to save the Union?
If you answered yes to two or more of the questions, congratulations, your in the majority. you are a political hypocrite; or your intelligence and education are severely lacking.
Here is how it works:
The Simple Answer
1. Abraham Lincoln Fought against Free Trade. The South wanted to sell it's cotton to England and France for 20 dollars a bail. The North wanted that same cotton for 6 dollars a bail.
Congress controls trade between the states, and other nations, as defined by the Constitution. Every state has two senators. *6
2. The South fought for "States Rights". The Right to have, FREE TRADE *2 and cheap labor. Slavery is an economic system base on CHEAP LABOR. *1 Slavery was employed by every civilization from the Aztec to the Czars' of Russia. Do you know the first nation to out law slavery? What year was that? Do you know?
3. Both the Democratic and republican parties have abandoned the ideas of Abraham Lincoln by in-bracing free trade and cheap labor. *5
4. For a voter to be a Republican or Democrat and think President Lincoln was right to oppose slavery and free trade, is the very definition of Hypocrisy. The civil war ended in 1865, 145 years later the South has won the war. And the war cry is: Free Trade.
*2 The Constitution gives the right to control trade between the states to the federal government. Trade between Texas and Ohio, and/or Georgia and France. The South wanted to sell their cotton to Europe for 20 dollars a bail. The Northern States wanted to pay 6 dollars for the same bail of cotton. The South fought for "States Rights". but Rights for what? Answer: Free Trade and Cheap Labor. Lincoln knew it was better for the American economy to sell textiles to the world than raw materials and buy back the finished product at a much higher price. Does this sound familiar? It should.
*1 Slavery is an economic system. All pre-mechanized cultures have "employed" slaves. The Aztec, Inca, Babylon, Egypt, Greece, Rome, England (called Serfs), Spain, Chinese Dynasties, see the picture? Only in recent times with the need for educated worker to use or maintain machinery have we seen the end of slavery. Did any other nation fight a civil war to stop slavery? By the 1870's many Americans were economic slaves. Men, women, and children all working in factories, 7 days a week, 16 hours a day, Life span expediency of only 40 years. This was economic slavery. Congress did a good thing. The Child Labor Act.... kids go to school. This happened before socialism.... so.... Mom had to leave the factory too. That cut the work force of factories by over 60 percent. Labor was now an important factor in the law of supply and demand, (economics 101). By the early 1900's labor had a 40 hour work week with good wages. Democrats and Republicans do not know this or no longer care. Their allegiances lie elsewhere. Where do their allegiances lie? That is for another paper, and besides we are well over your 5 minute attention span.
*4 Hypocrisy, the lie from within, George Orwell championed this idea with the phrase, "Double Speak, Double Think", in his book, "1984". Know that the best lies have some truth in them. Since the word hypocrisy causes people to think of religion, Mr. Orwell replaced political hypocrisy with the phrase, "double speak, double think". When used in the media as propaganda it can control the masses. An example: A television news magazine had their anchor read this line, "children working in factories in other countries helps them feed their family's.". This is the same argument used by factories here in the USA in the 1870's. And your average American viewer watching this program thinks: child labor is, "good".
*5 A strong nation needs a strong economy. Building houses does not a strong economy make. Economic 101: Agriculture, manufacturing, mining are the staples of a strong economy. You should note: these industries are the only industries that MAKE 'real' money.
*6 Ever wondered why the northeast has so many small states? More senators.
A little history: 1929, the stock-market crashed, most people know this. What most people do not know is that the worst year considered by many historians was 1938. The reason: major Government construction programs were coming to an end. It was the orders for weapons coming in from Europe; manufacturing here in the U.S.A. that ended the great depression. What this means is: You really can't spend your way out of a recession. But you can 'sell' your way out.
Our current president said that 1934 was the worst year of the depression, with a 28 percent unemployment rate, he said this to imply that Roosevelt's spending program saved the USA. By "priming the pump". Most (un-enlightened) Americans believe this to be true.
This was, and is, great political propaganda. You'll note that Boulder Dam has been renamed back to Hoover Dam. And presidents can no longer serve more than 2 terms. Histories answer to the great job Roosevelt did. The truth hidden in plain site.
In economic terms there is a big difference between priming the pump and BEING the pump. In 1934 the Federal government had 0 debt, not 10 trillion dollars. By 1938 government construction was winding down and there now was a federal debt. Unemployment was back up to 1934 levels, times looked bleak, then Europe began buying American products. YAHOO! World war II starts in 1939, America goes to war over two years later. That's two years of manufacturing sells, priming the American, "pump",economy. side note: does anyone remember the scandal of American businesses making money off the Vietnam War; at the expense of the tax payer and American soldiers?
You can not spend your way out of a depression. And trying to do it while fighting a war? Insanity! But it makes a good Myth story. Joseph Campbell would be proud.
It has taken a half century for the truth to shine through the myth that was Roosevelt; at least for those that do not wear rose colored glasses. How long does American have if the Voters don't remove their rose colored glasses?
So what have you learned? 1) Free trade incorporates cheap labor which bring forth economic slavery. 2) Building projects do not make an economy strong .
This republican and democratic religion of free trade and cheap labor has another name. Do you know what it is? Can you say globalization? Walking down this road leads to economic slavery.
President Lincoln opposed this path. Have you seen the light? Or are you still a hypocrite?
